VerdeVegetale's innovative vegetable garden: the challenge of Franzoi Lorenzo
This is the story of our young man from Trentino, Lorenzo Franzoi, born in 1995, who is not at all indifferent to environmental issues.
Since 2016, he has been strongly committed to his farm on the Altopiano della Vigolana (TN) with one great philosophy: healthy and natural agriculture, attentive to the land, the product and the customer, fundamental elements for environmental and social support.
But what are the key points that distinguish his 'innovative vegetable garden'?
- Always fresh products of the day
- Products free of chemical residues due to the use of BioAksxter®
- Seasonality and typicality of local products
- Conscious consumption
- Km 0 with a very short supply chain
- Savings in transport costs and lower CO2 emissions
Despite the lack of sensitivity of the Trentino people towards organic, natural, and zero-residue farming, as demonstrated by the results of the Biodistricts referendum on 26 September 2021, there are those, like Lorenzo Franzoi, who differentiate themselves in the territory with positive ideas and an innovative vision in the agricultural sector.
'Doing old things in a new way: that's innovation'
A passion for nature, the teachings of grandfather Corrado, the use of BioAksxter® depolluting fertiliser: a perfect mix of innovation and tradition that led Lorenzo to this choice.
Using BioAksxter® organic fertilisers means making his own production profitable, with production yields equal to and even higher than conventional ones; a sign that it is possible to cultivate the land without the massive need for chemicals.
VerdeVegetale, through direct purchase in the field or at the farmers' market, favours direct encounters between producer and consumer with a view to purchasing genuine, first-rate products without having to go through intermediaries. The company also offers the possibility of home delivery in the area by offering customers mixed boxes containing different types of vegetables or fruit.
For a simple but tasty gift, excellent processed products are available in the winter months.
Back to basics' and 'free from' products: a new approach to food
While there are many people who do not give weight to healthy products, on the other hand there is a mental shift that is revolutionising agriculture and people's habits, with the so-called 'back to basics': products that have received as little manipulation or processing as possible and without chemical push.
Consumers feel increasingly eco-active and emotionally involved in what they consume, more and more attentive to environmental issues and their own well-being.
It is the vision that still in 2002 saw the birth of BioAksxter®, aimed at all farms that wish to promote and spread a pro-environmental culture and a healthy food culture, encouraging the consumption of superior quality agricultural products.
