Surface soil moisture with dry deeper layers
The term "arrabbiaticcio" (unstable soil moisture - surface soil moisture) indicates soil that is very wet on the surface and dry in depth. It is, without a doubt, good practice to work the soil when it is temperate, however, it is often necessary to plough even in these conditions. The consequent mixing of the layers, in this case, is particularly detrimental to good crop performance, especially for wheat.
In fact, in soils afflicted by "unstable soil moisture", there is a high nitrogen deficiency and a massive presence of weeds, especially poppies, so that wheat grows poorly.
The use of BioAksxter® promotes the flocculation of colloids, thus improving soil structure and oxygenation. The consequence is greater workability, fewer problems with waterlogging and greater retention capacity in dry periods. All of the above factors contribute to avoiding the formation of excessively loose substrates, deleterious to wheat.
