Spur shoot
The "brindillo", also known as a spur branch, is a thin, long branch one year old and is a typical formation of Pomaceae (apple, pear) and Drupaceae (e.g. peach, apricot, plum). Depending on the crop and variety, toadstools are more or less productive. The peach tree fructifies mainly on brindles, while in the case of the Pomaceae there are varieties that fruit more on these productive formations (this is the case with the William pear, especially on young plants). There are differences between the toadstalks present in Pomaceae and those in Drupaceae. In the former case, mainly wood buds are present, with a mixed bud at the apex, whereas in Drupaceae, both flower and wood buds are present at the nodes, with a wood bud at the apex.
BioAksxter® optimises the vegetative-productive balance by improving the efficiency of formations and the differentiation of buds favouring fructification.
