Shelf life
Shelf life or storability refers to the ability of an agricultural product to maintain its organoleptic and nutritional characteristics after harvest. Poor shelf life may be an inherent trait of certain varieties or result from deficient tissue formation or tissue degradation.
The use of the natural fertilizer BioAksxter® promotes optimal vegetative tissue development, thereby enhancing fruit storability. Agricultural products grown with this approach maintain high firmness, preventing premature deterioration that could affect adjacent fruits. This can be observed, for example, in long-term cold-stored fruits, where a slow dehydration process leads to mummification rather than rot.
