Land slope
The slope of land or a hillside refers to the inclination of the terrain relative to the horizontal plane. There are two main types of land slopes:
- Flat land, where the slope does not exceed 0.4%.
- Sloped land, where the slope is greater than 0.4%.
There are various classifications based on land slope. The steeper the incline, the greater the impact on the microclimatic conditions of the cultivated land, as well as increased operational challenges.
On sloped land, row arrangements can follow a contour system or align along the steepest slope. To facilitate cultivation on inclined terrains, specialized agricultural machinery is available, designed to reduce rollover risks and improve operational safety.
BioAksxter®, by optimizing soil structure, minimizes runoff even on sloped land, enhancing nutrient bioavailability and simplifying field operations.
