Green manure
Green manure is an agronomic practice that involves fertilizing the soil by incorporating fresh plants or plant parts into it; for this purpose, vegetation is sown directly on-site. Its beneficial effects primarily stem from organic matter, which positively influences the physical characteristics of the soil.
Among the most commonly used species for green manure are various legumes (lupin, fava bean, clover, vetch, forage pea, etc.), which, by synthesizing atmospheric nitrogen, enrich the soil with this valuable element.
The use of the natural fertilizer BioAksxter® in green manure crops provides a dual beneficial effect:
- On plants, by improving metabolism and consequently enhancing nitrogen fixation to increase productivity.
- On soil, by reactivating beneficial microbial communities responsible for humification processes and the conversion of molecular nitrogen into forms available for plants.
For this reason, BioAksxter® is particularly recommended to enhance the effectiveness of green manure crops and organic fertilization, as well as to facilitate the reuse of crop residues.
