Fertilizers on the rise, fertility on the decline
"Although mechanization has limited the production and widespread availability of manure, we are in the shit." So commented one farmer, because of the continuous increase in fertilizers and the continuous decline in soil fertility.
Sometimes a rough count helps to get straight to the point. The count is this: fertilizer distribution in Italy is around 5 million tons per year. Now considering the 12 million hectares cultivated in Italy, it means that on average 416 kg of substances are added to one hectare. Every year.
This is just the beginning. In addition, the distribution of plant protection products (herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, acaricides and various) is around 115 million kilograms. Every year. A weight that definitely exceeds that of the metric system, because the damage is greater.
Let it not be said that distribution data do not correspond to consumption, because these are more or less constant data over time, and no one buys products to keep them in stock.
In Italy, the "poor" soil and ultimately the environment, in the last twenty years that we want to take into account, have been saddled with an additional 8.5 tons per hectare of substances, mostly chemical and therefore unknown to Mother Nature but recognized by the code of good practice and the Directives.
Where agriculture is going...
Speaking of fertility, despite the fact that 33% of the land in the world is degraded, if not close to infertility, it is argued that the soil is self-purifying. In addition, it continues to be said that the removal of nutrients due to cultivation must be compensated, while for agrochemicals, phytosanitary products or pesticides, although classified as toxic, very toxic and harmful, it is argued that without them it is not possible to feed the entire population of the planet.
However, the facts say that people are still dying of hunger, despite major international organisations being committed to words and promises, and that the planet is suffering from too much pollution. The natural self-purification capacity of the soil is compromised.
Eco-anxiety and Ecocide, health and nature devastated by man's blindness, are just some of the themes that mirror our reality. But words, themes, quotations, are too slow in sculpting human awareness; too weak to defend against those who use them to their own advantage. Action should be taken by repowering the natural program of self-purification, before Mother Nature moves in with tornadoes and earthquakes...
The repowering of the natural soil self-purification program is only possible with the use of magnetic flux formulations. Not quintals of substances, but pure energy in liquid form. For example, one hectare of fruit crops needs only 4.5 liters per year. Whether we like it or not, energy as an innovation in agriculture is the only resource in the world instead of the effects of circular pollution.
