Conversion to Organic Farming: when the farmer becomes a saint
The proposed drastic reduction of plant protection products is not enough to solve the problem of residues in agricultural products, just as converting to organic farming is not enough to convince farmers. Convince them of what? That they, previously elevated to emeritus food producers, now remain responsible for agricultural pollution? Or that they, by converting to organic, could become saints?
While among the most critical issues is the use of pesticides, agitating the farmer's soul is the debated choice between organic farming that limits production and conventional farming that disintegrates it.
Since the saints have abandoned us because they are no longer willing to intercede for the miracle of healthy agriculture, and since Putin's demonic spirit unites the world to slaughter, it seems that the ecological transition, a kind of greenwashing that ensures our health on this planet, is still boding well.
Actually, the solution is there, but they have kept it hidden for over 40 years.
Meanwhile, funds are promised to farmers now robbed even in their fields (because they suffered the damage and the mockery). There is the prospect of the revival of farmers' markets for direct sales to consumers, reserved for farmers, with the sustainability of food production. But it is not over. In the new Europe ready for a leap forward, resilient, green, digital, food-producing agriculture stands out. Is there perhaps something that is not sustainable in the supply chain? Perhaps the whirlwinds. It was said 'it is reaping time', but now it is time that reaps, with the scythe of climate change. At this point, cleaning up is Mother Nature's job and all that is left for farmers to do is to celebrate, with or without pumpkins, after all, we are approaching Halloween. Standards must be met, but also prevent the crisis from worsening: trick or treat?
What does Dura Lex propose regarding agricultural products in the new world scenarios? Conversion to organic farming? Let it not be sanctity, because farmers already have that.
