Chemical residues
Chemical residues are contaminants that remain in the agricultural product. They result from the products used in agriculture, from pollutants released into the environment (carried by air and water) and from the recombination of their molecules. The accumulation of residues in agricultural products is a consequence of the plant's inability to neutralise them.
