Agrivoltaics / Agrovoltaics
Agri-voltaics is a mode of agriculture in which cultivation is combined with electricity production. Crops can be grown in open fields or in greenhouses. In the latter case, one speaks of a photovoltaic greenhouse. The presence of photovoltaic panels, especially in greenhouses, can alter the microclimatic conditions (e.g. brightness, temperature, humidity) under which crops are cultivated, leading to differences in the development and, consequently, in crop yields. The biggest problem in greenhouse cultivation is related to light deficiency.
For light deficiency situations, such as in photovoltaic greenhouses, BioAksxter® has specific formulations that enhance the photosynthetic capacity of crops and improve their development:
- BioAksxter® M31 Photovoltaic Greenhouse, in the case of tree crops and in many horticultural crops. Its application is recommended in cases of soil diseases;
- BioAksxter® M32 Photovoltaic Greenhouse, suitable for floriculture and young plant nurseries. It is particularly suitable for developing the plant part of crops.
