Agricultural land measurement units
Hectare, field, acre, biolca, giornata, manzana, are all agricultural land measurement units. While the hectare belongs to the International System (SI) and corresponds to 10,000 m², other agricultural measurements have been passed down through generations and vary by region.
Their meaning is usually linked to fieldwork. For example, the giornata piemontese, which corresponds to 3,810 m², was the area typically plowed in one day using oxen.
The use of the BioAksxter® organic fertilizer, whose quantity is based on the cultivated area per hectare, should therefore be proportioned according to the corresponding local agricultural land measurement unit.
